Midas’s Tokenization Move and Similarity to ONDO
Germany-based tokenization startup Midas has raised $50 million in Series A funding to develop its “instant liquidity layer” defined for tokenized assets. The round was led by Round13, RRE, and Creandum; Framework Ventures, Franklin Templeton, and Coinbase Ventures also participated. The company stated that it will use the funds to scale its Open Liquidity Architecture and provide risk-free, atomic instant redemptions through the Midas Staked Liquidity (MSL) facility. This structure eliminates redemption delays by bringing traditional finance liquidity to tokenized assets on the blockchain.
While crypto startup funding is recovering unevenly, total funding increased by 50% annually between March 2025 and March 2026 according to Messari data. Infrastructure for Tokenized Treasuries and other real-world asset (RWA) yields raised more than $2.5 billion in 2025. Midas argues that liquidity is the main bottleneck in tokenized finance and solving redemption issues will bring capital markets to the blockchain. Platforms like ONDO detailed analysis also offer tokenized Treasuries and credit products for institutional investors; ONDO futures strengthen this trend.
