Pi Network Removes Mainnet Barriers for Millions of Pioneers

Pi Network has announced significant updates to its Mainnet migration process, removing barriers that previously limited participation for millions of Pioneers. These technical updates are designed to streamline the transition to a fully operational Mainnet while maintaining the security and integrity of the network.

As the network evolves, Pi is not only enabling faster and safer migration but also enhancing its KYC (Know Your Customer) system to ensure verified users remain at the heart of the ecosystem. By combining technical updates with innovative verification features, Pi Network demonstrates its commitment to creating a secure and scalable blockchain environment.

KYC System Enhancements: Strengthening User Verification

A critical part of Pi Network’s update focuses on improving the KYC system. This ensures that Pioneers are verified, trusted participants within the network. Verification is essential for maintaining a secure, fraud-resistant ecosystem as the network scales.

Pi has introduced a new beta feature for palmprint verification, offering an additional layer of identity authentication. This innovation targets more complex verification cases, providing extra security for Pioneers whose KYC may require deeper investigation. By integrating biometric verification, Pi Network strengthens its identity-based distribution system and reinforces user trust.

Palmprint Beta: A New Layer of Security

The palmprint beta feature represents a major step forward for Pi Network. By enabling biometric verification, the network ensures that only verified humans participate in Mainnet activities. This reduces the risk of fraudulent accounts, enhances security, and supports the integrity of all transactions and reward distributions.

The beta program also allows Pioneers to provide feedback on the system, enabling Pi Network to refine and optimize the feature before its full deployment. This collaborative approach ensures that the technology meets the needs of the global community while maintaining the highest security standards.

KYC Validator Rewards: Planned Distribution in March 2026

Pi Network continues to incentivize community participation through KYC validator rewards. These rewards are designed to recognize the efforts of users who help verify identities, ensuring a reliable and trustworthy ecosystem.

The distribution of KYC validator rewards is scheduled for March 2026. This timeline allows Pi Network to complete technical updates, integrate new verification features, and ensure that rewards are distributed accurately and securely. By providing tangible incentives, the network encourages ongoing engagement and support from its community.

Technical Updates and Mainnet Migration

Alongside KYC enhancements, Pi Network has implemented key technical updates that simplify Mainnet migration for millions of Pioneers. These updates remove previous obstacles, allowing a smoother transition for both new and existing users.

With migration streamlined, Pioneers can connect their verified accounts to the Mainnet with confidence, participating fully in transactions, applications, and decentralized activities. The updates also reduce potential bottlenecks and improve system efficiency, preparing the network for increased global adoption.

User Experience and Transparency

Pi Network emphasizes transparency and user experience throughout its Mainnet migration. The updates include clear information on the Main screen for Pioneers, providing step-by-step guidance and real-time updates on KYC verification status and migration progress.

By offering visibility and support, Pi Network ensures that users remain informed and engaged, fostering a sense of trust and community ownership. This approach aligns with the network’s broader vision of a people-powered blockchain that prioritizes security, fairness, and utility.

Implications for Pi Coin Holders

For Pi Coin holders, these updates bring tangible benefits. Verified users can participate fully in Mainnet activities, including peer-to-peer transactions, decentralized applications, and reward mechanisms.

The enhanced KYC system and palmprint verification ensure that the network remains secure, protecting the value and integrity of Pi Coin. Meanwhile, validator rewards incentivize active participation, encouraging Pioneers to contribute to the growth and stability of the ecosystem.

Supporting Web3 Principles

Pi Network’s Mainnet updates are aligned with core Web3 principles, including decentralization, security, and user empowerment. Verified users maintain control of their non-custodial wallets, while transparent migration processes and reward systems create a fair and equitable environment for all participants.

By combining cutting-edge verification features with community-driven incentives, Pi Network positions itself as a fully functional blockchain capable of supporting a wide range of Web3 applications and utility services.

Preparing the Community for Mainnet Success

The success of Pi Network’s Mainnet relies on a well-prepared community. Pioneers are encouraged to complete KYC verification, engage with new biometric features, and monitor updates through the Main screen.

Active participation ensures that the network operates smoothly and securely while maintaining fairness in reward distribution. By fostering a collaborative environment, Pi Network strengthens the foundation for a people-powered blockchain that scales globally.

Conclusion

Pi Network’s technical updates, KYC enhancements, and palmprint beta verification mark a significant step forward in Mainnet readiness. By removing barriers for millions of Pioneers and providing secure, verified participation, the network reinforces its commitment to a trustworthy, scalable, and utility-driven blockchain ecosystem.

With KYC validator rewards planned for March 2026, Pioneers are incentivized to engage actively, contributing to the growth and integrity of the Pi Network. These updates ensure that Pi Coin holders and the broader community can participate confidently in a secure, decentralized, and people-powered economy.

Which Altcoins Stand to Gain from the SEC’s New ETF Listing Standards?

On Wednesday, the US SEC (Securities and Exchange Commission) took a landmark step in crypto regulation, approving generic listing standards for spot crypto ETFs (exchange-traded funds). This new framework eliminates the case-by-case 19b-4 approval process, streamlining the path for multiple digital asset ETFs to enter the market in the coming weeks. Grayscale’s Multi-Crypto Milestone Grayscale secured a first-mover advantage as its Digital Large Cap Fund (GDLC) received approval under the new listing standards. Products that will be traded under the ticker GDLC include Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP, Solana, and Cardano. “Grayscale Digital Large Cap Fund $GDLC was just approved for trading along with the Generic Listing Standards. The Grayscale team is working expeditiously to bring the FIRST multi-crypto asset ETP to market with Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP, Solana, and Cardano,” wrote Grayscale CEO Peter Mintzberg. The approval marks the US’s first diversified, multi-crypto ETP, signaling a shift toward broader portfolio products rather than single-asset ETFs. Bloomberg’s Eric Balchunas explained that around 12–15 cryptocurrencies now qualify for spot ETF consideration. However, this is contingent on the altcoins having established futures trading on Coinbase Derivatives for at least six months. This includes well-known altcoins like Dogecoin (DOGE), Litecoin (LTC), and Chainlink (LINK), alongside the majors already included in Grayscale’s GDLC. Altcoins in the Spotlight Amid New Era of ETF Eligibility Several assets have already met the key condition, regulated futures trading on Coinbase. For example, Solana futures launched in February 2024, making the token eligible as of August 19. “The SEC approved generic ETF listing standards. Assets with a regulated futures contract trading for 6 months qualify for a spot ETF. Solana met this criterion on Aug 19, 6 months after SOL futures launched on Coinbase Derivatives,” SolanaFloor indicated. Crypto investors and communities also identified which tokens stand to gain. Chainlink community liaison Zach Rynes highlighted that LINK could soon see its own ETF. He noted that both Bitwise and Grayscale have already filed applications. Meanwhile, the Litecoin Foundation indicated that the new standards provide the regulatory framework for LTC to be listed on US exchanges. Hedera is also in the spotlight, with digital asset investor Mark anticipating an HBAR ETF. Market observers see the decision as a potential turning point for broader adoption, bringing the much-needed clarity and accessibility for investors. At the same time, it boosts confidence in the market’s maturity. The general sentiment is that with the SEC’s approval, the next phase of crypto ETFs is no longer a question of ‘if,’ but ‘when.’ The shift to generic listing standards could expand the US-listed digital asset ETFs roster beyond Bitcoin and Ethereum. Such a move would usher in new investment vehicles covering a dozen or more altcoins. This represents the clearest path yet toward mainstream, regulated access to diversified crypto exposure. More importantly, it comes without the friction of direct custody. “We’re gonna be off to the races in a matter of weeks,” ETF analyst James Seyffart quipped.
