Why The Top Crypto To Buy Now is Not Solana (SOL) But This $0.04 Altcoin

In top crypto news today, investors are seeking the best crypto to buy now amid volatile markets. Solana (SOL) has long been viewed as a top crypto, but recent indicators reveal vulnerabilities that make it less appealing as the best crypto to buy now.

Instead, attention shifts to Mutuum Finance (MUTM), an innovative DeFi crypto priced at $0.04, positioning itself as the next big crypto with strong fundamentals.

Since its presale began, MUTM has raised $19,600,000 from 18,650 holders, showcasing robust community support. This DeFi crypto offers transformative potential.

A $250 investment could surge to $10,000 with 40x returns by mid-2026, driven by its structured growth and utility, making MUTM the best crypto to buy now for those eyeing the next big crypto explosion.

Solana Faces Headwinds

Solana, once hailed as a top crypto for its speed, now grapples with signs of waning momentum that undermine its status as the best crypto to buy now.

Options worth millions expire today, with a put-call ratio of 0.52 signaling bearish sentiment. The max pain price sits at $124, below the current level around $126, potentially triggering a selloff as put volume spiked over the past 24 hours.

SOL's price edged up nearly 2% in the last day, fluctuating between $124.22 and $127.72, but trading volume plummeted 22%, indicating fading interest from traders.

This reliance on short-term hype, without fresh utility upgrades, exposes SOL to corrections in a market favoring sustainable DeFi crypto projects. Unlike emerging altcoins with built-in demand drivers, Solana's network congestion issues and lack of innovative revenue loops make it riskier, steering savvy investors toward alternatives like MUTM as the true next big crypto.

Mutuum Finance Fast Selling Presale

Mutuum Finance (MUTM) stands out as the best crypto to buy now due to its staged presale model, which rewards early entry and builds organic demand. Currently in Phase 7, tokens are available at $0.04, a 300% rise from Phase 1's $0.01, with over 800 million already sold. This DeFi crypto's fixed supply of 4 billion tokens, with 45.5% for presale, creates scarcity as phases advance.

Early buyers benefit from predictable ROI growth. For instance, investing $1,000 now secures 25,000 MUTM, which at the $0.06 launch will already have reached $1,500. Post-launch, analysts project 400% ROI within months, propelled by multi-chain expansions and CEX listings, similar to how SOL surged from $0.24 presale price. One factor that has aided in MUTM’s rapid presale pace is a recent update that allows card purchases with no limits. This has eased entry into this next big crypto even for first-time crypto investors.

Phase 7 is selling out swiftly, presenting the final window to acquire MUTM at $0.04 before Phase 8 hikes it to $0.045. As demand surges from 18,650 holders, latecomers face steeper costs and diminished upside. This urgency mirrors past altcoin rushes where early buyers reaped massive gains, leaving others regretting inaction. Joining now not only locks in discounts but positions investors for V1 protocol launch on Sepolia testnet, featuring liquidity pools and initial assets like ETH and USDT, which solidifies MUTM as the best crypto to buy now.

The project’s buy-and-distribute mechanism further elevates MUTM as the next big crypto by linking protocol fees to token value. Fees from lending and borrowing fund open-market MUTM buys, redistributed as dividends to mtToken stakers. This creates buy pressure and reduces supply, benefiting holders. For example, a lender supplying $5,000 in ETH to a P2C pool earns up to 8% APY, plus staked mtTokens yield extra MUTM from buybacks. Borrowers access USDT against collateral without selling assets, say borrowing $2,000 against $3,000 ETH to cover needs while retaining upside. Unlike inflationary tokens, this DeFi crypto's model fosters long-term holding.

Mutuum Finance Safety Appeal

Security underpins MUTM's appeal as the best crypto to buy now, with a completed Halborn Security audit. This follows another audit by CertiK that awarded the project a token scan score of 90/100 and an ongoing $50,000 bug bounty program, that seeks to reward bug discoveries from $200 to $2,000.

Industry data reveals over 80% of crypto thefts hit DeFi protocols, with $4 billion lost in 2022 alone due to vulnerabilities often caught by audits. Unaudited projects fail at rates exceeding 50%, per reports. MUTM's multi-layer testing, including ethical hacker incentives, builds trust, attracting institutional flows and minimizing risks in this next big crypto. As crypto news today highlights shifting opportunities, MUTM eclipses SOL with its utility-driven growth, making it the top crypto and best crypto to buy now for substantial returns.

Crypto whale loses $6M to sneaky phishing scheme targeting staked Ethereum

The post Crypto whale loses $6M to sneaky phishing scheme targeting staked Ethereum appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. A crypto whale lost more than $6 million in staked Ethereum (stETH) and Aave-wrapped Bitcoin (aEthWBTC) after approving malicious signatures in a phishing scheme on Sept. 18, according to blockchain security firm Scam Sniffer. According to the firm, the attackers disguised their move as a routine wallet confirmation through “Permit” signatures, which tricked the victim into authorizing fund transfers without triggering obvious red flags. Yu Xian, founder of blockchain security company SlowMist, noted that the victim did not recognize the danger because the transaction required no gas fees. He wrote: “From the victim’s perspective, he just clicked a few times to confirm the wallet’s pop-up signature requests, didn’t spend a single penny of gas, and $6.28 million was gone.” How Permit exploits work Permit approvals were originally designed to simplify token transfers. Instead of submitting an on-chain approval and paying fees, a user can sign an off-chain message authorizing a spender. That efficiency, however, has created a new attack surface for malicious players. Once a user signs such a permit, attackers can combine two functions—Permit and TransferFrom—to drain assets directly. Because the authorization takes place off-chain, wallet dashboards show no unusual activity until the funds move. As a result, the assets are gone when the approval executes on-chain, and tokens are redirected to the attacker’s wallet. This loophole has made permit exploits increasingly attractive for malicious actors, who can siphon millions without needing complex hacks or high-cost gas wars. Phishing losses The latest theft highlights a wider trend of escalating phishing campaigns. Scam Sniffer reported that in August alone, attackers stole $12.17 million from more than 15,200 victims. That figure represented a 72% jump in losses compared with July. According to the firm, the most significant share of August’s damages came from three large accounts that accounted for nearly half…
