HTX Growth Academy Analyzes 2025 Crypto Market Shifts and 2026 Projections

HTX Growth Academy examines structural shifts in the 2025 crypto market, highlighting institutional influence, stablecoins, RWAs, and regulatory normalization, setting the stage for 2026.

The HTX Growth Academy has provided a comprehensive analysis of the critical changes that occurred in the crypto market throughout 2025 and what these might mean for 2026. According to HTX, the most significant shift was not in crypto prices, but rather in the market’s underlying structure.

Institutional Capital Reshapes Market Dynamics

During 2025, the crypto market witnessed a pivotal transition as institutional investors became the marginal buyers, marking a departure from the retail-driven volatility that previously characterized the market. The introduction of compliant channels such as spot ETFs facilitated this shift, offering institutions a standardized and transparent investment route. As a result, the market’s volatility compressed, while its sensitivity to macroeconomic variables, such as interest rates, increased.

This transition to institutional capital was evident as these investors, governed by long-term risk management frameworks, began to dominate trading activities. The traditional market cycles driven by retail sentiment and speculative behavior were replaced by more stable, capital allocation-driven dynamics.

The Rise of Stablecoins and Real-World Assets

HTX emphasizes the evolving role of stablecoins and real-world asset tokenization (RWA) in the crypto ecosystem. Stablecoins have emerged as a fundamental component of the onchain economy, functioning as units of account and settlement layers. Their widespread adoption has facilitated the integration of crypto into the global financial system, with onchain transaction volumes reaching unprecedented levels.

Moreover, RWAs, particularly tokenized U.S. Treasuries, have gained traction, providing the crypto market with a stable yield anchor. This integration has allowed onchain yield curves to align more closely with traditional finance, bridging the gap between crypto and global financial systems.

Regulatory Normalization and Its Impact

2025 also marked a year of regulatory normalization, with major jurisdictions establishing clearer frameworks for crypto operations. This regulatory clarity reduced institutional barriers to entry, allowing for more systematic participation from traditional financial entities. Compliance became a critical factor, reshaping industry structures as platforms and products adhered to defined regulations.

The regulatory environment’s predictability has become a vital consideration for capital allocation and business viability, influencing asset valuations and market behavior.

Looking Forward to 2026

As the crypto market heads into 2026, HTX identifies key areas of focus, including the cost of compliant capital, the quality of onchain dollars, and the sustainability of real yield. The maturation of the onchain dollar system and the stratification of stablecoin quality will play crucial roles in determining the market’s trajectory.

Overall, the convergence of institutional capital, stablecoin infrastructure, and regulatory frameworks has paved the way for crypto to evolve from a speculative asset class to a modelable financial infrastructure. This transformation sets the stage for a more stable and integrated crypto market in the coming years.

The Channel Factories We’ve Been Waiting For

The post The Channel Factories We’ve Been Waiting For appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. Visions of future technology are often prescient about the broad strokes while flubbing the details. The tablets in “2001: A Space Odyssey” do indeed look like iPads, but you never see the astronauts paying for subscriptions or wasting hours on Candy Crush.  Channel factories are one vision that arose early in the history of the Lightning Network to address some challenges that Lightning has faced from the beginning. Despite having grown to become Bitcoin’s most successful layer-2 scaling solution, with instant and low-fee payments, Lightning’s scale is limited by its reliance on payment channels. Although Lightning shifts most transactions off-chain, each payment channel still requires an on-chain transaction to open and (usually) another to close. As adoption grows, pressure on the blockchain grows with it. The need for a more scalable approach to managing channels is clear. Channel factories were supposed to meet this need, but where are they? In 2025, subnetworks are emerging that revive the impetus of channel factories with some new details that vastly increase their potential. They are natively interoperable with Lightning and achieve greater scale by allowing a group of participants to open a shared multisig UTXO and create multiple bilateral channels, which reduces the number of on-chain transactions and improves capital efficiency. Achieving greater scale by reducing complexity, Ark and Spark perform the same function as traditional channel factories with new designs and additional capabilities based on shared UTXOs.  Channel Factories 101 Channel factories have been around since the inception of Lightning. A factory is a multiparty contract where multiple users (not just two, as in a Dryja-Poon channel) cooperatively lock funds in a single multisig UTXO. They can open, close and update channels off-chain without updating the blockchain for each operation. Only when participants leave or the factory dissolves is an on-chain transaction…
